Josiah Carossino, 44, Cosmopolis resident and former Journeyman Electrician, went to be with Jesus after a battle with cancer on November 9, 2024, at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
Josiah was born on February 16, 1980, in Aberdeen, WA to James Frank and Lisa Joy Ruth (Undem) Carossino. He graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1998 and then attended Grays Harbor Community College from 1998-99.
He went to work as an independent electrician and worked at various commercial industry companies at the start of his career. He served his electrician apprenticeship, received his Journeyman’s license, and worked with MB Electric from June of 2014 to present. He was a member of the IBEW local 76.
Josiah married Sarah Elizabeth Bruner on July 28, 2007, at Grays Harbor Foursquare Church in Central Park. She resides at the family home in Cosmopolis, WA.
He loved hunting, fishing and woodworking. Anything he set his hands to, he could make or fix. In the fall of 2022, he harvested a deer, his first bear, and an elk in the same season. The friends he spent time with while hunting and fishing were like family to him. Josiah was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed playing and watching soccer, football and baseball, in both city and church leagues, and had many good friends who were like brothers in these leagues. But he really loved spending time with his family and close friends. Gathering for a meal, birthdays, holidays, or a vacation were some of his favorite things to do.
Josiah is survived by his wife of 17 years, Sarah Carossino of Cosmopolis; a daughter, Sophia Carossino of Cosmopolis; his faithful dog, Gus; Parents: Jim and Lisa Carossino of Aberdeen; a brother, Jadon Carossino and his fiancé Piya, of Washington D.C.; a sister, Allison ‘Joe’ Fagerstedt of Aberdeen; Mother-In-Law, Dolores Bruner of Montesano; two Brothers-In-Law: Christopher Bruner of Seattle and Timothy Bruner and his wife, Lovely and daughter, Yiezha, of Texas; Nephews: Michael Fagerstedt and Benjamin Fagerstedt; and Niece: Lauren Fagerstedt.
There will be a celebration of his life on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 1:00 PM in the Grays Harbor Foursquare Church in Central Park, WA. A private family burial took place at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen, WA.
The family is establishing a savings account for his daughter. In lieu of flowers, contributions to this account can be made by check to Sarah Carossino.
