Mrs. Josie Hood passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30, 2025, at her daughter's home in Oklahoma City.
Josie was born on May 10, 1937, in Corsicana, Texas, to Jack and Francis (Cravin) Cooper. She was raised in Corsicana before eventually settling in Abernathy, where she met and married the love of her life, Cleopha "Cleo" Hood, in 1952. Together, they built a loving home and raised their family in Abernathy.

Josie's true calling was caring for others. Her mission in life was to serve, and through that mission, she welcomed many into her home and heart, extending her love and family far beyond bloodlines.
She will be remembered for her compassion, her unwavering faith, and the countless lives she touched with her generosity and open arms.
