Josiph Losson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Mar. 2, 2026.
Josiph Franklin Losson, 27, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on February 27, 2026. He was born on May 17, 1998, in Oklahoma City to his loving mother, Cirby Losson-Wiles.

Josiph graduated from high school in Newport, Tennessee before moving to Springfield with his mom in 2017, where he continued to build a life centered around family, kindness, and the things he loved most.

Josiph really enjoyed looking at cars, especially classic cars and hot rods. His grandfather, Dallas, worked on cars, and Josiph would often spend time nearby, finding small ways to help out or simply watch. Those quiet moments together around the garage became simple but meaningful memories that will always be cherished.

Josiph loved to eat and never passed up a good meal, but his favorite by far was beef fried rice from just about any Chinese restaurant. He also enjoyed spending time watching anime, especially the series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

He often walked to local stores like Dollar General and Walmart for shopping trips, but his favorite place to browse was Wicked.

Everyone who met Josiph would speak of his kind heart and respectful nature. He had a gentle spirit and a way of making others feel valued and heard. More than anything in this world, Josiph loved his family. He cherished time spent at home with them, whether talking, laughing, or simply being together. Family was his foundation and his greatest joy.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leita and Deward Rancour, and Jerry and Linda Losson; his father, Franklin Hise; and his beloved niece, Tala Losson.

Josiph is survived by his mother, Cirby Losson-Wiles; his dad, Dallas Wiles; his brother, James; his sister, Laura; his grandparents, Dianna and Dallas Wiles; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will carry his memory in their hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made toward his services at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.

Josiph's kindness, warmth, and love for his family will never be forgotten. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made on those around him will last a lifetime.
