Paula Jean Spalding
Paula Jean Spalding, age 89, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026. Born November 5, 1936, in Atchison, Kansas, Paula lived a life characterized by compassion, service, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.

Family and Loved Ones
Paula was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David L. Spalding; her parents, Paul and Leona Steinborn; her brother, Marvin Steinborn; and her sister, Marilyn Wiggins. She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her children and family members Pam Morrison and David Spalding of Rogersville, Missouri; Tracy Turnidge of Springfield, Missouri; Steven West of Kansas City, Missouri; Jackie (Pat) Wheaton of Oklahoma; Jill Krise of Ohio; and Jeff Steinborn of Tennessee. Paula was also a proud grandmother to four grandchildren and great-grandmother to four great-grandchildren.

A Life of Service
Paula dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse. Her compassion and empathy were evident in her work, where she touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues. Beyond her nursing career, Paula served her community as District Coordinator for Representative Mel Hancock, playing an important role in local civic engagement and public service.

Legacy
Paula will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her compassion for others, and her lifelong dedication to service. Her gentle spirit, commitment to helping those in need, and love for her family have left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Paula's legacy lives on in the lives she touched and in the memories shared by her loved ones.

The family and friends of Paula Jean Spalding will continue to honor her memory and celebrate the warmth and kindness she brought into their lives.

Graveside service will be held Monday, March 9, 2026 at 9:00 AM in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
