She was born on April 15, 1941, in
Frankfort, Indiana, to Pauline Lane (Bailey) Loveless and Clay Alan Loveless. Joy earned her Bachelor's degree from Indiana Central College (now University of Indianapolis). One day her path crossed with a wonderful man, David Everett Beeson. The two met while they were both students at Indiana Central College. Their relationship blossomed and on August 8, 1964, Joy married her best friend and love of her life, David, and were blessed with 61 years of marriage and wonderful memories.
Joy and David lived in New York state where she worked as the editor of the Mohawk Hudson Wheelman Newsletter. She was a member of New Salem Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary in New Salem, New York. Even in her later years, she kept up the tradition of writing a monthly family newsletter titled The Beeson Banner. Joy was also quite the hobbyist, from her love of gardening, sewing, and knitting. An accomplished seamstress, she made many of her own clothes. She was such an accomplished knitter that she shared her expertise and time as a volunteer at the Warsaw Public Library knitting classes they offered. Always active throughout her life, especially bicycling, she rode her bike from New York to Winona Lake, Indiana as well as taking a bicycle tour while visiting England. She was a familiar figure on the road cycling tirelessly in her bright yellow jacket around Kosciusko County, often with a smile on her face and giving a friendly wave to those who passed by.
She loved worshiping her Lord at Winona Lake Free Methodist Church and most recently attended Church of the Good Shepherd in Winona Lake. Joy spent her life loving on her family and cherished time spent with her loved ones.
