Joy C. Daniel

Joy Carolyn Daniel was born April 13, 1937 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Leon and Caryolee (Cherry) Fariss. She passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025, in Edmond at the age of 87.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 23, at Whitt Funeral Home followed immediately by her funeral service at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Jason Scheel officiating. A live stream of her service will be available by visiting her obituary page at www.whittfh.com. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Austin Wicker, Greg Mulkey, Andrew Bouseman, Max Mulkey, Kael Mulkey, and Jordan Scheel; honorary pallbearers will be Alex Wicker, Dawson Wicker, Ryker Bouseman, and Mason Legg.
After graduating from Allen High School, Joy married Leith Legg. He preceded her in death and she later married Noel Daniel. She had a variety of jobs over her life and retired from Duncan Regional Hospital where she was the lead cook. She was faithful to her church as a member of the Pentecostal Church and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; 2 sons: Randy Legg and Gary Legg; and her sister, Barbara Fariss. Joy is survived by one daughter, Michelle and husband Dale French of Edmond; a daughter-in-law, Shelly Legg of Summerfield, Florida; and nephew, Greg Legg (who was like a son to her) and wife Norine of Archbald, Pennsylvania. She had 6 grandchildren: Brian Legg, Dustin Legg, Rita and husband Chad Wicker, Steven Legg, Jennifer and husband Greg Mulkey, Cesiley and husband Andrew Bouseman; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harold and wife Patty Fariss of Holdenville.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested contributions be made to the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, PO Box 940, Beebe, AR 72012.
