Joy Wyatt Erwin

Joy Wyatt Erwin, 92, longtime resident of Wilkinson and Shirley, Indiana was embraced by her Savior's loving arms on July 23, 2021. She was born on January 19, 1929 in Shirley, Indiana to the late Ernest and Edgel (Kendall) Davisson. Joy retired from Delco Remy in 1986 after 36 years of service. She was a former member of Wilkinson Church of Christ, Fall Creek Christian Church and Park Chapel Christian Church. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Donna (David) Jones of St. Joseph, Illinois, Regina (Ronald) Covey of Indianapolis, Indiana, Joseph (Donna) Wyatt of Greenfield, Indiana, Kevin (Sue) Wyatt of Seymour, Indiana; 17 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Ruth Ann Casey; brother, John Wesley Davisson and several nieces and nephews. Joy was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Wyatt; second husband, William Erwin; siblings, Sophia Gourley, Mary Roberts, Garnett Parks, Charles Davisson, William Davisson, Paul Davisson and Ilene Guinn. Services will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021,., 1:00 pm at Wilkinson Church of Christ, 7293 IN-109, Wilkinson, IN 46186 with Doron Jones officiating. Burial will be at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation will be on Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the church. Memorial Contributions may be made to Wilkinson Church of Christ.
