Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home - NazarethJoy B. Grim, 80 of Saylorsburg, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at her home. Born Thursday, June 7, 1945 in Wilson Borough, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Helen (Smith) Baumert. She and her husband, Joseph J. Grim, Sr. were married on June 16, 1986.
She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Nazareth. Joy worked as an LPN with Dialysis patients at Fresenius Centers in Easton, Wind Gap, and East Stroudsburg for many years before retiring. She was a quilter, a member of the Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder Fire Company, Ladies Auxiliary, a former of the Red Hats Society, Kresgeville. She was also a member of Tops weight loss group, Cherry's Diner, Kresgeville.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Todd G. Jones of Sciota, step-son, Joseph J. Grim, Jr. of Saylorsburg, step-daughter, Wendy L. wife of James Harris of New Jersey, granddaughter, Britny, great-grandchildren, William, Russ, and Amira, step-grandchildren, Austen, Penelope, and Ryan. She was predeceased by her daughter, Jennifer L. Pardis, and sister, Carol Buonato.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM memorial service, all on on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 S. Broad Street, Nazareth, Pennsylvania.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home 211 East Center Street, Nazareth, PA 18064.
