Joy Lorraine Steber of Antigo passed away on July 21, 2025 at the age of 92.
Joy was born on December 18, 1932 in Antigo to the late Harry and Mary (Blythe) Reif.
She attended Antigo High School. She was married to Donald G. Steber whom she later divorced. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her Family and loved her Grandchildren. In her younger years she loved riding horses, camping, and going to the beach. She also enjoyed ceramic classes, crafting, reading, crocheting, and loved raising plants and regularly attended Church on Wednesday.
Joy is survived by children; John (Jan) Steber of Watertown, WI, Jeff (Judy) Steber of Antigo, WI, David Steber of Antigo, WI, Sharon Jennings (Mark) of Hamilton, MT, Gayle Steber of Antigo, WI, Pat (Shelley) Steber of Pierre, SD, Mike Steber (Jennifer) of Sheboygan WI, grandchildren; Jennifer, Jessica, Aaron, Andrea, Kristina, Kevin, Josh, Aimee, April, Brittney, Bryon, Anthony, Delacie, Alicia, Uriah, Ashley, Corey, Chloe, Zachariah, great grandchildren; Malia, Avery, Leighton, Taydan, Kane, Kolin, Kaius, Sophia, Ryland, Preston, Brogan, Penelope, Evan, Lauren, Maxwell, Eliza, Brhiannon, Dillon, Devon, Cody, Neela, Alivia, Paxton, Ty, Jax, Mav, Austin, Logan, Brooklyn, Aydan, Calie, Roanan, Landon, Conor, Ellianna, Finnegan, great great grandchildren; Mazie and Delaney, brother Jim (Sandy) Reif of Antigo and sister Mary (Tom) Lukowicz of Antigo.
In addition to her parents, Harry and Mary Reif, Joy was preceded in death by a son Jerry Steber and a brother George Reif.
A funeral service for Joy will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home at 12:00 PM. Visitation will take place prior to the service at the funeral home from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Following the service, burial will be held at Bent Cemetery for both Joy and her son Jerry.
Joy’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Eastview Health and Rehabilitation Center for the wonderful care given to Joy during her stay there.
