Joyce Anne Allex

Allex - Joyce Anne (Brutschy), of Vero Beach, FL, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the age of 81. Joyce was the beloved wife of Kenneth R. Allex, to which the couple shared 58 years of marriage. Born April 15, 1944, in Jamaica, NY, Joyce was the daughter of the late Joseph C. Brutschy and Elsa Ponnet Brutschy. Joyce attended the John Adams High School in Queens, NY, until her graduation in 1961. From 1961 to 1965, Joyce worked for the Home Insurance, and then bookkeeper for a major Canadian bank on Wall Street from 1965 to 1968. Whether it was traveling from coast to coast, or up and down the east coast, watching college basketball, trading stocks, or enjoying a simple morning walk, there wasn't a single thing Joyce couldn't make special and magical. She will be remembered for her excellent cooking skills, her beautiful flower beds, her knack for knowing the origin, and value of antiques; but most especially her always positive phone messages and sincere devotion to her grandchildren. Joyce is also survived by her children, Kenneth J. Allex and his wife, Dawn, Deborah Allex,

and Susanne Zimmerman and her husband, David; her grandchildren, Kenneth F., Daniel M., Timothy W., Holly A., and Kate E. She is survived by her sister, Marion Brutschy Callesano and her husband, Arnold. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Joyce was predeceased in death by her brother, Joseph Charles Brutschy. Relatives and friends are invited to greet Joyce's family on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Road), Richboro Road, PA, 18954 from 10:00am until her Funeral Service, 11:00am. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
