Joyce Bailey

Mrs. Martha Joyce Todd Bailey, age 89, of Hartwell, Ga., passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025 at Piedmont Hospital in Athens, Ga. 

Joyce was born on December 20, 1935, to the late Sam B. Todd and Lavonia Gaines Todd. 

She is survived by her husband; Horace "Duck" Bailey of 53 years, children; Mike Segars (Katherine) of Hartwell, Ga., Darlene (Tommy) Cordell of Toccoa, Ga., Dana (Tim) Gray of Hartwell, Ga., Pam (Phil) McCrary of Quincy Fl., Donna (Dan) Matra of Hoschton, Ga., and Penny Crooks (Tony) of Danielsville, Ga. Siblings; Patsy (Stewart) Moss, and Ricky Todd. 13 Grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great, great-grandchildren. A special friend; Joann Harland also survives. She is preceded in death by her children; Shannon Segars and Mark Bailey, brothers; Billy and Tommy Todd, and grandson; Karson Farmer. 

Visitation will be held on Thurs, January 30, 2025 from 6-8pm. Service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 11am in the Chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors with Pastor Stacy Lynch officiating. Cremation will follow the service. The family will be at the home, 1688 Boleman Hill Rd. Hartwell, Ga.
