Joyce Ann (Cox) Barker, age 69, of Toledo, OH, passed away on December 9 in her home after a long illness. She was born in Cleveland on June 19, 1954, to Everette and Dessie Cox.
Joyce graduated from Whitney Vocational High School in 1972 and worked at Libbey Glass for eight years. She graduated from Mercy St. Vincent's Nursing School and worked at St. Luke's Hospital, Arbors at Waterville Nursing Home and later became a traveling nurse, totaling over 40 years of service.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, James Franklin Barker; son, Gary Barker (Cari Kraffa); daughter, Carla (Barker) Pinson (Michael); grandchildren, Nikki Barker (David Sims), Christopher Barker, Zachary Barker and Sydney Striker; siblings, Linda Wagner, James (Mary) Cox, Donnie (Billie) Cox, Charles (Cheryle) Cox; sister-in-law, Kelda (Barker) Vernatter (Quentin). She was predeceased by her parents, Everette and Dessie Cox; and her siblings, Carol Ballard, Danny Cox and Everette Cox.
