Joyce Ann Blanton, age 58 of Cumberland, Kentucky entered her Heavenly home on Friday, August 5, 2022, at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital after a long illness.
She was born on June 11, 1964, in Harlan, Kentucky. She believed in the Church of God Faith and attended the Church of the Living God in Baxter, Kentucky. Joyce loved attending church, swimming, cooking, but most of all, spending time with her wonderful family. She had a heart-warming smile and a love for life that will be eternally missed.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Emily Hoskins Turner, sister, Betty Turner, brother, Lee Gist.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, husband, James Roger Blanton of Cumberland, Kentucky, son, Marion Gene (Robin) Colinger of Putney, Kentucky, daughters, Dezzie Mae (Evan) Cornett and Gracie Marie Colinger both of Cumberland, Kentucky, brothers, Kenny (Kathy) Brock of Annville, Kentucky, Joe (Betty) Turner of Ages, Kentucky, sisters, Dezzie (Mickey) Brite, Nancy (Andy) Lively all of Harlan, Kentucky, Sarah (Haskell) Daniels of Coxton, Kentucky, Susie (John) Ritchie of Bledsoe, Kentucky, Mary (Gill) Smith of Loyall, Kentucky, a host of grandchildren and one great grandchild other relatives and friends also survive.
Visitation will be Monday, August 8, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Church of the Living God in Baxter, Kentucky.
Visitation will continue Tuesday morning at 10 am at the church until the funeral hour at 12 noon with Pastor Darrel Turner officiating.
Burial will follow in the Harm Turner Cemetery in Big Laurel, Kentucky.
