Joyce Bowne

Joyce Bristor Bowne 92, of Cromwell, beloved wife of Norman Bowne, passed away at Middlesex Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Washington, PA October 16, 1932, she was the daughter of the late J. Howard Bristor and Ethel (Sowers) Bristor. Joyce graduated from Trinity High School in Washington, PA. She worked as a secretary to the pediatric section of the Washington Hospital and later as a billing machine operator for the county water supplier.
She is survived by her two children James F. Bowne and his wife Beth Eastman of Scarborough, Maine and Diane Lublin and her husband Jeffrey of Middletown; three grandsons Bryan and his wife Kelly, Jason and his wife Morgan and Tyler Lublin; great grandchildren Lucas Lublin, Nora Lublin and Carter Lublin who were the joy of her life.
She was a member of the Rocky Hill United Methodist Church for more than 50 years where she was an active member of the Missions and Outreach Committee supporting various children's education programs.
A Memorial Service will be held at the United Methodist Church-Rocky Hill 623 Old Main St. Rocky Hill, CT on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:00am. A private family burial will precede the service.
