Joyce Kellett Cauble, 81, beloved wife of Robert William Cauble, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025 after a brief illness surrounded by the love of her children. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength and dedicated her life creating a nurturing home for her family.
Born October 19, 1943, she was the eldest daughter of the late James David and Laura Zimmerman Kellett. Joyce and Bob were active members of First Presbyterian Church, where she served on several committees. Her favorite was helping with the poinsettia trees in the sanctuary during the Christmas season. She was also a member of The Assembly. She loved the Lord, adored Bob and doted on her family. Joyce was a wonderful southern lady and southern cook and always enjoyed having family and friends at her beautifully set dining room table. Her greatest joy was establishing a very close-knit family.
Joyce retired after dedicating over 30 years to the Bank of America, working in the commercial loans department.
In addition to her husband, Joyce is survived by her children Alice Cobb Howell (Louis Peyton Howell, Jr.) and James David Cobb III. She also has a sister, Jayne Kellett Kirby.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Louis Peyton Howell III (Blaire Brooks Howell), Madison Cobb Howell (Rachel Tidd Howell), Anna Lucile Cobb, and James David Cobb IV.
Joyce was blessed with four great-grandchildren: Louis Peyton Howell IV, Brooks Cobb Howell, Madison Gray Howell, and Emory Anne Howell.
She will be missed by so many and her loved ones will always have special memories to treasure.
The service will be held at the Chapel at First Presbyterian Church on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 3:00 pm.
