Grace Denny Obituary
ARCADIA- Grace Ann Mathis Denny,89, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 5, 2026.
She was born July 5, 1936, in Polk County, North Carolina to the late Wayne Mathis and Stella Mathis. She was a retired textile employee and was a member of Covenant Baptist Church in Spartanburg.
Surviving is one daughter, Debra Edgins of Spartanburg; one son, Olin Lanford (Debbie) of Roebuck; one sister, Hattie Vaughn of Inman; one brother, James Mathis of Campobello; 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Amelia Gail Edgins, one sister, Patsy Huntsinger and one brother, Zeb Mathis.
A private graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood Glendale Road, Spartanburg officiated by Rev. Gary Hensley.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303 www.spartanburghumane.org
The family is at their respective homes.

Olin and family, I´m so sorry to hear about Grace. She was always so good to me as a child and loved me as her own. Covering your family in prayer and sending you all many hugs!

I´m so saddened to hear Ms. Grace has passed.. I met her by delivering mobile meals to her. She and I would have long talks and laugh together. She was a wonderful lady who I admired. She will be greatly missed.
