JOYCE LORRAINE CHELLEW Joyce Lorraine Chellew, lovingly remembered for her strong faith in Jesus, and her kind and generous spirit, passed away on June 17, 2024, at The Brook of West Branch, MI. She was born in Bessemer, MI, on Sunday, November 22, 1931, to Norman and Susan (Chovan) Berg. Joyce's life was marked by a deep commitment to her family and faith. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bessemer and confirmed her faith on March 25, 1945. Joyce's warm personality and caring nature endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She found great joy in spending time with her family. A dedicated member of her church community, Joyce spent many years assisting her husband in his pastoral duties for 45 years. On June 22, 1957, she married William Arthur Chellew, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories until his passing. Joyce is survived by her children: Suzanne (Richard) Salcido, Jane (Arthur) Tennant, Thomas (Cindi) Chellew, Kathleen (Richard) Adams, Timothy (Nikki) Chellew; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister Marge Koekritz; brother James (Ruth) Berg; sisters-in-laws Dorothy (Keith) Brutlag, Valetta (Lyle) Schaible, Helen (Roger) Harms, Carol Chellew; brother-in-law Robert (Ella) Chellew and John Hannah; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Norman and Susan Berg; husband William Arthur Chellew; grandchild Cody Thomas Chellew; several great-grandchildren; 5 sisters-in-law, 5 brothers-in-law. A memorial service will be held for Joyce at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at St. John Lutheran Church in West Branch, MI. Pastor Petzold will officiate. A luncheon will follow. She will be buried next to her husband at the St. John Lutheran Church in Ashippun, WI. Joyce's strong faith in Jesus, her love, and her kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
