LACOMB - Joyce Helen Claussen, 88, a resident of Lacomb Oregon, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice in Albany surrounded by God's angels and her loving family.

Joyce Claussen, the daughter of John Scott and Eulalia (Williams) Gibbs, was born September 17, 1935, in Wichita, Kansas. She moved to Los Angeles when she was one (1) year old and then later to Lebanon, Oregon.

She married Bob Evans and had two daughters J. Lorraine and Janet Elaine and later divorced. In 1960, she met Edward Frank Claussen, and they married on August 18, 1962. Edward and Joyce had two children together, Peggy Eileen and Larry Scott.

Joyce is survived by her husband Edward Frank Claussen, her daughters J. Lorraine Fisher-Evans and Peggy Eileen Weiss (Roger), her son Larry Scott Claussen (Jeannie), and her grandchildren Eric Evans (Tammy), Leila Joi (Josh), Jacob Fisher, Kaila Weiss, Dylan Weiss, Chandler Claussen, Evon Sharabarin (Vera), Demion Sharabarin, Dale Kelso, Jordan Kelso and her great-grandchildren Jacobi, Gregory, Ethan, Auvrielle, Lukeian and Hrisia (Krissy) to whom she was dedicated and loved so very much.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, John Scott and Eulalia Gibbs, her siblings James Marion Gibbs, Dewey Dean Gibbs, Mary Margaret Guinn (Gibbs), her daughter Janet Elaine Evans, and her beloved grandson Gregory Fisher.

Joyce's wish was to hold a Celebration of Life in her honor following her passing. It meant a great deal to her for family and friends to be together as they share cherished memories with fondness, happiness, and love.

Joyce's Celebration of Life ceremony will take place, 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 27th at the American Legion Santiam Post 51, 480 S Main St, Lebanon, OR 97355. Huston-Jost Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
