Joyce Cole Obituary

Joyce M. Cole, 96, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025 at Bridge Care Suites in Springfield. Joyce was born in Staunton, IL on July 15, 1929, the daughter of Walter and Helen (Hoffman) Bethel. She married Dale E. Cole on April 11, 1962 and he preceded her in death on January 19, 2013. Joyce was the cleanest person in the world. Her friends and family always commented how her home looked like a showplace and everything in a perfect spot. She loved to take care of her husband and son. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale; one brother and one sister. Joyce is survived by her son, Brett; granddaughter, Ashley Sims; two great grandchildren, and her best friend Donna Rechner. Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 2:00PM at Rochester Cemetery with Reverend Rob Dillingham officiating. Memorial donations in Joyce's honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester is in charge of arrangements.
