Joyce Ann Conrad,91, of New Salisbury passed away peacefully August 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 13, 1933, in Corydon to Edward & Mary Mildred (Gutknecht) Dodds. A 1951 graduate of New Salisbury High School, Joyce went on to become a successful business owner, operating Conrad Transmission alongside her husband, Paul Conrad, whom she married September 5, 1953. Together, they made their home in New Salisbury, raising a family & becoming deeply rooted in the community. She was an active member of several organizations, including the Auxiliary of American Legion Post 332, the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Corydon & Charity Baptist Church, New Salisbury. She also a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Jeffersonville. Known for her vibrant spirit & love of life, Joyce enjoyed playing euchre, dancing, singing, listening to gospel music & taking long walks through her neighborhood. Her joyful presence & strong faith were an inspiration to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband; a daughter, Phyllis Henderson; her brother, Charles Dodds; & her sister, Debra Conn. Joyce is survived by her children: Doug (Kathy) Conrad, Denise (Randy "Old Man") Lowe, Louise (David) Wetzel, Diana "DeeDee" Willis, and Paula (Kevin) Geyer. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren & four great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. Visitation will be held at a later date at Swarens

Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in Joyce's name to the American Cancer Society.
