Joyce Mae Counterman

Joyce Mae Counterman, 80, of Fair Grove, Missouri was born on September 8th, 1945, to Merle Hinton Early and Arlena May Eden (Early) in Sturkie, Arkansas. Joyce peacefully left this earth at her home on December 8th, 2025.
Joyce was loved dearly by her family and friends. Joyce leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and many many pictures. She was a devoted wife who loved her husband Ray dearly. They shared their love of gardening; Ray would be in his vegetable garden while Joyce tended to her flower garden. Where they could be seen admiring each other from across the yard. Joyce accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at the age of 9 and followed in baptism. Later in life she became a devoted member of Bass Chapel Baptist Church where she served the WMU and Grand Oaks Mission. We rejoice knowing the joy you now experience in the presence of our Lord with Ray by your side.
She was preceded in death by her parents Merle and Arlena Early, husband Ray, her sisters Faye and Melanie and brothers Wayne and David, and grandson Mikeael Louis Counterman II. Joyce is survived by her sister, Carol Meier, daughters Shannon and Cindy, Sons, Mikeael and Wife Paula, and Patrick and wife Jackie, Grandchildren: Zella and Husband Carl, Tim and Wife Emily, Margaret, Truman and wife Jenny, Chelsea, Brittany, Amanda, Russel, Stephen and Wife Kacie, Beth, PJ, Addie, Ozzy, and Great-Grandchildren: Dezmond and wife Nikki, Aiden, Zoe, Timothy II, Kelton, Ginny, Truman, Samuel, Ezra, Archer, Jay, Levi, Mckinley, Nash, Blayklee, Kylin, Emalee, Raelynn, Shaelynn, Eli, Issac, Sophie and Bellamy.
Joyce's grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life, and she would let and she would let anyone know that.
Services for Joyce Mae Counterman will be held on Thursday December 18th, 2025, with visitation at 10am and Funeral to follow at 11am at Bass Chapel Baptist Church between Fair Grove and Strafford Missouri. Following the funeral service, burial will be at Bass Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to Bass Chapel Baptist Church.
