Mrs. Joyce Elaine Tuck Cox, age 76, of Burlington, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Peak Resources after several months of failing health.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late John D. Tuck and the late Christine Robinson Tuck and was married for over 58 years to Wade Russell Cox, who survives. She retired after many years of employment in the textile industry and was a member of Pilgrim Chapel Baptist Church. Joyce enjoyed completing puzzles and gardening her flowers, but mostly spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Cox is survived by her husband of the home; her daughter, Kandy Fuller; three grandchildren, Brittany (Drew) Thomas, Eric Williams and April (Jesse) Cates; five great grandchildren, Audrey Patrick, Braylynn Patrick, Caiden Jones, Clayton Thomas and Emily Thomas; two brothers, Johnny R. Tuck and Danny (Lynn) Tuck; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Tammy Dixon.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Mike Jones and Rev. Chip Sellew. Interment will follow at McCray Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:45 AM Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
