Joyce Daugherty Obituary
Joyce Daugherty, age 72, of Kingsport, TN went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 30, 2026. Joyce was born in Kingsport, TN on December 22, 1953, to Wilbur and Margret Cross. Joyce loved all of her animals. She enjoyed her flower garden and spending time with her family. Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Bascom Daugherty; sisters Elizabeth Jane "Tiny" Isenburg and Sue Brown.
Those left to cherish her memory is her sons Jerry Bright, Michael King, William (Rachael) King; granddaughters Mercedes Bright, Alexis Bright, Autumn King, Drea Silas; grandsons Jacob King and Payton Bright; great-grandchildren Leo Elliot and Alexander Farnsley; siblings Eurfel Cross, Stoney Ball, Tony Ball, Virginia Briggs, and Linda Cross; special friends and family Victoria Shaw, Tony and Zandy Hodge, Ruth Baker, and Amanda Hobby as well as several extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Amos Bright officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 pm.
