Joyce Dempsey Obituary
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Love and Margie Ward; sons, Greg and Bradley Dempsey; sister, Gail Barnett; and aunt, Jewell Ashworth.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Charles Dempsey; son, Nathan Dempsey of Cohutta; grandchild, Noah Dempsey; sisters, Lavada Cunningham, Diane Barnett, Laura Walker, and Lisa Lynn; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
A funeral service will be held at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Homes on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, with Rev. Shane Pierce and Rev. Junior Williams officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Homes on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Burial will be held at New Hope Cemetery.
