MONTICELLO - Joyce E. Dunlap, 91, of Monticello passed away at 3:17 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 26, 2025) at Kirby Medical Center, Monticello.
Joyce was born on Nov. 23, 1933, in White Heath, the daughter of Chris and Mabel (Woods) Koss Sr.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Connie Ashworth of Mahomet; grandchildren Betty Jo, Mitch and Chad; six great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-great-grandchild; her brother, Chris Koss Jr.; and sister, Carolyn Golias.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jerry; and granddaughter Cherry.
Joyce worked as an LPN nurse for 35 years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, bird and squirrel watching, games, puzzles, traveling, and loved babysitting her grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an organization of the donor's choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at mackey-wrightfuneralhome.com.
