SHELBY- With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Joyce Anne Dye, who departed this world peacefully on December 6, 2025, in Kings Mountain. Born on October 13, 1954, in Waterbury, Connecticut, Joyce graced this earth for 71 inspiring years.

Joyce was a woman of unwavering faith and boundless compassion. A faithful member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church for 15 years, she drew strength and inspiration from her love for the Lord, sharing her spirit generously with everyone she met. Her devotion to her faith was matched only by her dedication to caring for others, particularly the elderly, with whom she shared a special bond.

Professionally, Joyce worked as a truck driver, navigating the roads with diligence and skill. After her retirement from truck driving with her husband, her Ministry was delivering flowers for Boiling Springs Florist and putting smiles on countless people's faces. Yet, it was her personal passions that truly defined her. An avid cook, Joyce was renowned among family and friends for her culinary delights, especially her legendary green beans. She held a particular fondness for the color purple, a hue that mirrored her vibrant personality and kind heart.

Joyce's legacy of love and kindness extends through her surviving family and friends. She is cherished by her devoted husband, Donald Dye, and beloved sons, Jeffrey Poston and wife Holly, Jeremy Poston and wife Angel, and Donald Dye III and wife Laura. Her sister, Roxanne Fortenberry, and brothers, Michael Conner, Randy Conner and wife Terry, and Tony Conner and wife Kristen, remember her with deep affection. Joyce's grandchildren, Megan Poston, Amelia Poston, Annie Poston, McKenzie Dye, Addie Dye, Anthony Poston, and Connor Dye, were the light of her life, each carrying forward her legacy of joy and kindness.

Joyce is also survived by her step-father, Jack Farless, step-mother, Shirley Conner, and her special friends, Gaye Tolbert, Renee Walker, and Regan Yarborough, whose friendships she cherished deeply. Joyce had a special place in her heart for her exchange student grandchildren, Amanda Lee and Gui Palhares. Her faithful dog, Gunnar, cat, Desi Lou, and grand dog, Mya, were constant companions in her journey.

Preceded in death by her mother, Mary Farless, father, Bill Conner, brother-in-law Johnny Fortenberry, and sister-in-law Cathy Wooten, Joyce is now reunited with them in eternal peace.

Joyce Anne Dye was a beacon of warmth and love, whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew her. Her memory will forever inspire those she leaves behind to live with the same grace, generosity, and unwavering faith that she embodied every day of her life.
