Marilyn Dye Obituary
Marilyn C. Dye, 89, of McDonald, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025. Born on May 27, 1936, in Patton, Pennsylvania, she was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Mary (Grozanick) Depto. Marilyn graduated from Patton High School and later built a life centered around family, love, and creativity. She married the love of her life, James Dye, on April 25, 1959, and together they shared 55 years of marriage until his passing.
A devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Children: Dennis, Karen and James. Granddaughters: Mollie and Jenna. Great-grandchildren: Matthew and Ellie. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her son, Jeffrey Dye.
Marilyn's passion for flowers led her to a fulfilling career as a florist. She found joy in gardening, cooking, and creating a warm, welcoming home. Known for her kindness and gentle spirit, Marilyn treasured time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She embraced life's simple pleasures and was happiest surrounded by family.
Her legacy of love and care will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
