Michael Brown Obituary
Michael was born on March 24, 1955 in Bristol, OH, a son of the Ray Marshall Brown and Thelma Jean (Beachy) Brown.
He was a graduate of Bristol High School and worked at Copperweld until they closed. After Copperweld closed, he worked at Country Neighbor Program in Orwell.
He enjoyed being outdoors where he was an avid hunter, fisherman, and bee keeping.
Michael will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Melinda Brown, whom he married on September 16, 1978; mother, Thelma Jean Brown; sons, Alexander Michael Brown and Andrew (Amanda Scott) Brown; grandsons, Hunter, Trenton, and Trevor Brown; and siblings, David (Debbie) Brown, Margie (Rick) Papp, and Barry (Eliene) Brown.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Marshall Brown.
Family and friends may visit from 10-11:00AM on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Lane Funeral Homes Shafer-Winans Chapel, located at 164 N. High St. in Cortland.
Funeral services will follow at 11:00AM at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Orwell South Cemetery.
