Joyce Ann Edgington

Bowie, MD -  Joyce Ann (Kyte) Edgington passed away from us on January 24, 2024 at the age of 75 after battling a combination of several health issues. Joyce was born on April 22, to Leo and Juanita Kyte in Cheverly, MD. They went on to live in nearby Bladensburg, MD, where she graduated from Bladensburg High School in 1967.

 

After graduation, Joyce worked for local banks and had many great relationships with her customers, especially those who had pets with them. She always made a point of having treats for the pets, which made her even more popular not only with her customers , but especially the pets themselves. She later had a pet of her own for many years, a dachshund named Lucy, who she loved dearly.

 

In 1964 she met her future husband, Dennis, who also attended the same high school and graduated in 1964. They were married in 1967 and had one son, Robert, after moving to Bowie, MD in 1970.

 

Joyce was predeceased by her parents, a sister, Sandra and a brother, Bobby. Her remaining siblings include sisters Brenda and Nita and brothers Bill and Tom.

 

Services will include a viewing at :

 

Beall Funeral Home, 6512 Crain Hwy, Bowie, MD on Wednesday, 2-7-24 from 2-4pm.

 

Funeral Mass at St. Edwards Catholic Church, 1940 Mitchellville Rd, Bowie, MD 20716 at 11:00am on Thursday, 2-15-24.

 

Burial at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Hwy, Cheltenham, MD  20623 with date still to be determined due to their crowded scheduled.
