Joyce Ann Fioretto

Joyce Ann Fioretto, née Peterson, age 79, of Chicago, passed away peacefully and went home to the Lord on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Gustav and Margaret, née Mitchel, Peterson; her husband, Anthony "Tony" Fioretto; and her brothers, Gary and Glen Peterson.
Joyce was rooted in faith, a follower of Christ. She loved attending Ladies Bible Study and participating in all of the church functions at Jefferson Park Evangelical Free Church. There she was head of the Decorations Committee because of her love for crafting and art.
She lived her life enjoying simple pleasures; spending time with her family and friends, talking and joking with them. Her laugh was infectious. She enjoyed a good joke or funny story and always had one to tell, along with a wink. She was a friend to all she met, and every animal in the neighborhood. Her cheerful personality made you feel you were always welcome in her home and to spend time with her.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Peggy Fioretto (Benjamin De Los Monteros); her son, Angelo Fioretto; her granddaughter, Phoenix; and her sister, Carol Peterson. She was a special Aunt to many nieces and nephews, and wonderful to her friends, who became family. She will be greatly missed and remembered fondly.
Visitation, Monday, January 29, 2024, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a Wake Service at 7 p.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.
Funeral Service, Tuesday, January 30, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home.
Interment, Rosehill Cemetery, 5800 N. Ravenswood Ave., Chicago.
