Joyce Evelyn Flynn, 82, of New Castle, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the Willows of New Castle. She was born May 5, 1943, in Bronston, KY, a daughter of the late Arvil and Vina (Black) Sullivan.
Joyce enjoyed family gatherings during the holiday season, picnics, and spending time with her husband. She also liked to read, watch old Westerns, cooking and canning things from her garden.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of over 64 years, Glen A. Flynn of New Castle; two children Bobby (Hae Sook) Flynn of New Castle; a daughter, Teresa Flynn-Romack (Bobby Craig), of New Castle; grandchildren, Amanda (Drake) Land of Indianapolis, Joshua Flynn of New Castle, Danielle Romack (Nathaniel Rigney) of Muncie, and Alyssa Romack (Jacob LeMaster) of Beech Grove; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Dancy of Cincinnati, and Jean Sullivan of Virginia; a brother, Ronnie (Linda) Sullivan of Somerset, KY; nieces and nephews.
Services will be private at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with burial following at Green Hills Memory Gardens.
