Joyce K. Giaccone

Joyce K. Giaccone, 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Nov. 28, 2022.

Born in Montreal, Quebec, Joyce was predeceased by her parents Cecil Parker and May (Daughters) Brady; sister Dorothy (Parker) Breveleri; and brother Ronald Parker. She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas J. Giaccone for 48 years living most of her life in Enfield. Joyce enjoyed baking and cooking for her family and friends, always a neighborhood go-to. She loved spending time with her kids and family and the beach. She spent many years as an assistant cook for the Enfield Public Schools, retiring in 1988 to spend time with her grandchildren. Later in life she took an interest in water aerobics, enjoying the get-togethers with the wonderful friends she made along the way. She spent the last several years of her life cherishing time with her great-grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by her brother Norman Parker of Toronto, Ontario; and her son Richard and Renee Giaccone of Glastonbury. She will be deeply missed by her son Michael Giaccone and Lisa King of Land O' Lakes, Florida; daughter Kathleen and Vincent Benvenuto Jr. of Tewksbury, Massachusetts; son Paul and Julie Giaccone of Enfield; and son Mark and Kimberly Giaccone of Windsor. She also leaves 13 grandchildren, Nicholas, Kimberly, Pamela, Annalecia, Douglas, Kayla, J'aime, Zachary, Vincent, Nathan, Victoria, Cody and Troy; and nine great-grandchildren. Giovanni, Ryker, Beckham, Kinsley, Maverick, Oliver, Saylor, Rhett, and Riley; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation period will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapel, 43 Shaker Road in Enfield. Funeral services will be on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, at 11 a.m., at Holy Family Parish, 23 Simon Rd., Enfield, (Please go directly to church). Interment will be in the Thompsonville Cemetery, Enfield.
