Joyce Elizabeth Gosztola

Joyce Elizabeth Gosztola, 74, of Mishawaka passed away on March 28, 2026. Joyce was born to the late Everett and Grace (Austin) Hanback on March 30, 1951, in South Bend, IN. The family later moved to Florence, AL where Joyce stayed until she returned to the Michiana area. She went on to work as a waitress for many years before her retirement. She married Emery "Jim" Gosztola on February 14, 2000. Joyce enjoyed traveling and sweet treats. More than anything she loved to spend time with her friends and loved ones.

Joyce is survived by her sister, Bobbie Herston as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Emery "Jim" Gosztola; parents, Everett and Grace Hanback and her siblings, Betty, Sue, Judy, Richard, Ronald, Grady, Denny, Alan, Mark and Terry.

The family will receive friends from 2-4pm on Thursday, April 2, 2026, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A private burial will take place on Friday, April 3rd, at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements and extends their deepest sympathies to the Gosztola and Hanback families.
