Joyce M. (Poulin) Greenwood, 95, a retired billing specialist for Kent Hospital, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025 at the South Kingstown Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was the wife of the late John S. Greenwood, Sr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Margaret E. (Pratt) Poulin. Joyce was the beloved mother of John S. Greenwood, Jr., Glen F. Greenwood and his wife Janet, and Mark R. Greenwood and his wife Annette "AJ"; loving grandmother to Amy Page and her husband Michael, and Emily Greenwood; loving great-grandmother to Cameron and Julia Page.
Joyce was the heart and soul of our family - a woman whose warmth, kindness, and unwavering love shaped the lives of everyone who had the privilege to know her. She dedicated her life to her family, always putting others before herself and making sure everyone felt loved and cherished. Family was everything to her. Whether it was holiday gatherings, everyday phone calls, or simply sitting side by side, she found her greatest joy in the presence of her loved ones. Her legacy lives on in the values she passed down - kindness, resilience, and unconditional love.
Joyce was a member of St. Mark's Church where she served on the Alter Guild for several years. She faithfully worshipped, served, and led by example. Her life was a reflection of her unwavering faith, quiet strength, and deep compassion for others. Her Bible was well-worn, her prayers constant, and her heart wide open.
Joyce will be remembered for her loving spirit, her steady presence, and the countless ways she enriched our lives. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Her visitation will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 9-10am followed by a service at 10am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. She will be laid to rest with her husband in the RI Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter.
