Angier, NC: Mrs. Joyce Parrish Gregory, age 91, passed away on January 10, 2026 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held-11:00 AM Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Billy Cashwell. Burial will follow in Fellowship Community Cemetery in Angier.
Mrs. Gregory was born on June 14, 1934 in Johnston County to the late H.J. “Ted” and Cleo Rogers Parrish. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doward Gregory, her sisters, Helen Parrish Stallings and Idaleen Allen Honeycutt, brother Billy Parrish, and son-in-law, Johnny Allen Adams.
She graduated from Benson High School in 1952. She worked as a Teachers Assistant at Benson Elementary for many years before retiring. Joyce will be remembered for her kind heart and her life was marked by her incredible faith and service to Benson Grove Church until her health declined. Joyce was known for her chocolate pies. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Home Demonstration Club and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and working in her flowers.
Survivors include her 2 daughters, Ginger Gregory Adams of Four Oaks and Donna Gregory Badin and husband, Ricardo of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Cameron Adams and wife Laura, granddaughter, Jordan Adams and boyfriend, David, Ashley Badin and fiancé, Arthur, and Anna Cate Badin; great granddaughters, Ellie, Grace, and Tate; sisters, Bonnie Lassiter of Garner and Jenny Moore and husband, Donald of Charlotte; brother, Steve Parrish of Raleigh; sisters-in-law, Daphne Barnes, Lynette Baker, and Dee Holland; brother-in-law, Warren Gregory; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home of Ginger Adams, 4172 Hockaday Road Four Oaks, NC 27524.
In lieu of flowers, please do a kind deed for someone who least expects it. Memorials may be made to Benson Grove Baptist Church at PO Box 1305, Benson, NC 27504 or to the SECU Hospice House, PO Box 1376, Smithfield, NC 27577.
