Obituary of Joyce Anne Haire
November 19, 1941 – October 2, 2024
Joyce Anne Haire. Age 82 of Wyandotte.
Beloved wife of Robert Haire for 62 years. Loving mother of Marc (Laura) Haire, Jennifer (Greg) Canterberry and Kristine Haire. Dearest grandmother of Olivia, Donavan, Alyson and Briar. Dear sister of Bobbie, Judy and Jerry. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Opal and Maynard Rowlette.
Joyce Anne Haire lived a life full of love, laughter, and warmth, sharing 62 wonderful years with her beloved husband, Robert. Their marriage was a testament to deep commitment, built on joy, resilience, and a strong bond that carried them through all of life's ups and downs.
For 25 years, Joyce worked at Wyandotte Public Schools, where she became known for her kindness and dedication. She built lasting friendships with her coworkers and made a meaningful difference in the lives of the students she served. But Joyce's nurturing spirit reached far beyond the school-she always made time for her family, friends, and especially her adored grandchildren.
She had a gift for making every moment special, particularly when surrounded by loved ones. Whether she was cheering on her grandchildren at their games, telling one of her memorable stories, or enjoying family gatherings, she brought warmth and joy to everyone around her. Her storytelling was legendary, and those lucky enough to hear her tales will carry them in their hearts forever.
A woman of many passions, Joyce loved watching the Detroit Tigers, spending afternoons at the casino, and expressing her creativity through painting. Her deep love for her dogs showed her caring and generous nature-they were truly part of the family.
Joyce's presence brought comfort, joy, and a sense of belonging to everyone who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed by her family and friends, her legacy of love, laughter, and the wonderful memories she created will live on in all of our hearts.
