Joyce Harris

Joyce Harris, age 83 of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on September 23, 2025. She was born July 29, 1942 in England, Arkansas to the late William Franklin Smith and Rosie (Miller) Smith. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Leroy Harris, and beloved son-in-law, Todd Wilson. She leaves behind a family who adored her and will carry on her legacy with love.

Throughout her life, Joyce found joy in adventure. During her years alongside Leroy in the military, they traveled the world together, visiting many different countries and forming lifelong memories. This love of travel followed them into retirement, where the beach became her happy place. Joyce also loved the excitement of a trip to the casino, and was always up for fun and laughter with those she loved most.

Survivors include her children, Rick Harris of Cabot, Tammy Wilson of Cabot, Ray (Kathy) Harris of Springdale; grandchildren, Lauren (Zach) Lockwood of Cabot, Jeremy (Kerry) Wilson of Bryant, Landry Harris of Springdale and Logan (Adam Finley) Harris of Houston, Texas. Other survivors include great grandchildren, Lexie, Bailey, Wyatt and Avery; along with her partner and companion, Nick Garrett of Jacksonville.

Joyce was the heart of her family. A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who never met a stranger. Her smile, witty humor, and unwavering strength will be missed beyond measure.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Mrs. Harris will be laid to rest next to her husband at Chapel Hill Memorial Park immediately following the service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
