Joyce Heaton Obituary
Joyce Marie Heaton, 94 of Elm Mott, Texas, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm, Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Waco Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Waco Memorial Park with Rev. Earl Cumbie officiating.
Joyce was born March 7, 1931, in Waco, Texas, the daughter of the late Roscoe Theodore Newman and Della Mae (Newman). Growing up in Waco, Joyce graduated from Waco High School in 1949. For many years, Sears Department stores employed her in the Jewelry Department, where she met many friends.
Also preceding her death were a son, Jerry Heaton; brothers, Carrol Newman and Travis Newman.
Survivors include two sons, Rickey Heaton and his wife Terri of Gholson, Billy Heaton and his wife Joy of Riesel, daughter-in-law Beverly Heaton of Hewitt, and Bobby Rappe of Elm Mott: seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
