Joyce Palk Hooks, 71, of Middlesex passed away on Thursday, September 14. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 16 at 2:00 pm at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Interment will be immediately following the funeral service at the Eatmon Family Cemetery, Old Smithfield Road, Bailey. Reverend Brian Wible and Revered Reuben Batchelor will officiate.
Family will receive friends Friday, September 15 at Joyner’s Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Joyce is survived by her sons, Edward Eatmon, Lee Eatmon and wife, Nikki, and David Eatmon; brother, Robert Palk; sister, Cheryl Rex; grandchildren, Taylor Knight, Justin Eatmon, Brittany Joyner, Cambree Eatmon, Patrick Eatmon, Jonathan Batchelor, Destiney Sims, Justin Sims, Preston Sims; and eight great-grandchildren.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Vestle Edward Palk and Wilma Jaquess Ward; and sister, Teresa Paige.
