Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and dear friend passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025 at HealthSource – Saginaw. She was 96 years old. Joyce M. Detloff was born on June 29, 1929 in Saginaw, Michigan to Frank Sr. and Hella (Kolbe) Detloff. She graduated from Saginaw High School in 1947. Joyce met the love of her life, Harry W. Kleinfelder, at Brockway Roller Rink, and they were married on February 3, 1951. Harry was then drafted and proudly served with the United States Army in Anchorage, Alaska during the Korean War. After his service with the Army, Joyce and Harry returned to Saginaw in 1953. She worked at Michigan National Bank for over 30 years working as a Teller and New Account Specialists, retiring in 1992. Joyce was very faithful throughout her life, worshipping at Trinity Lutheran Church and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Joyce loved to spend time with her family, golfing, vacationing and being surrounded by those that she loved.

Joyce is survived by her beloved husband of 74 years, Harry W. Kleinfelder; daughter and son-in-law: Susan and Peter Peer; grandson, Tyler Peer; niece and her husband, Tamara Detloff and Stuart Banner and their children, Jillian and Harrison Banner; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol (Bob) George; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Randy Kleinfelder; brother, Frank Detloff Jr. and brother and sister-in-law: Ralph W. (Jane) Detloff; nephew, Kevin Detloff.

Joyce's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Heartland Hospice and HealthSource – Saginaw for their care and kindness during her time of need.

Family and friends will gather at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5335 Brockway Rd., Saginaw, MI 48638 on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Paul Biber and Deacon Jeff Rauschert will co-officiate. Private entombment will be at Oakwood Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
