Joyce L. Klonowski

Joyce L. Klonowski, 94, of Rudolph, WI, passed away on August 8, 2025 at Arborwood Lodge in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on August 22, 2025 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Father Barry Saylor will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.

Joyce was born December 23, 1930 to Arnold and Hattie (Wydeven) Kempen. Joyce married John A. Klonowski on August 27, 1949 at St. Phillips Catholic Church in Rudolph, WI. She and John were married for 62 years before his passing on August 27, 2011.

Joyce worked at Olson's Café, Rudolph Telephone Company, Wood County Telephone Company, and The Brig Restaurant retiring in 1996. After Retirement she volunteered at Riverview Hospital as a Patient Escort.

Joyce is survived by ten children: James (Kristi), Joan, Jean (Richard), John (Jeanette), Jerrold (Colleen), Joy, Jeff (Amy), Julie (Lawrence), Joel (Crystal), Jay (Ruth). Grandchildren: Amy, Michelle, Jessie, Trinity, Michael, Ryan, Jillian, Jeremy, Jamie, Adam, Dan, Jennifer, Joseph, Benjamin, Kyle, Kraig, Ashley, Jared, and Alex. Twenty-four great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Sister Delores Dupree and brother-in-law Mike Gawart. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John A., infant son Joey, parents, sisters and brother-in-laws Elaine Kempen, Germaine (Roman) Korslin, Rosaline (Tommy) Weiler, and Sharon Gawart, brother Elroy Kempen, brother-in-law Tom DuPree, sister in-law Estelle (Jake) Harcinske, and son-in-law Dennis Clark.

The family would like to thank the staff at Arborwood Lodge and Heartland Hospice for the care and compassion given to Joyce, especially Chris, Angie and Ann. The family would also like to thank John & Bonnie Joosten and Bob and Nancy Mews for the lifelong friendship, care and support they have given to our mom.
