Roger A. Schill

Roger A. Schill, age 86, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at home surrounded by his family.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00am until the time of service.
Roger was born on April 28, 1939, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Leo "Sparky" and Catherine (Rebro) Schill. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957. Roger married Rita M. Oberbeck on September 9, 1961, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Roger worked at Consolidated Papers in the purchasing and scheduling departments for nearly 40 years, retiring in 1997.
Roger was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Consolidated Musky Club, and Bill's Musky Club. Roger loved the outdoors, especially hunting on his family land and spending time fishing. He took great pride in landscaping his beautiful yard, always keeping it neat and welcoming. Roger and Rita also enjoyed getting together and playing cards with a special group of friends. Above all, his greatest priority in life was his family. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Roger is survived by wife, Rita Schill; children, Todd (Kriste) Schill and Tami (Jeff) Morin; grandchildren, Jeremy (Melissa) Schill, Kera (John) Faldet, Alex (Kelsey Shepperd) Meeker, Madeleine (Charlie) Groenier, and Sam Morin; great-grandchildren, Zoey Schill, Abigail Schill, Wyatt Schill, Kyla Groenier, Camdyn Shepperd, and two on the way; sister, Judy Wallner; brother, David (Jane) Schill; brothers-in-law, Richard (Phyllis) Oberbeck and Mark (Rosemary) Oberbeck; and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Terry Schill; brother-in-law, Tom Wallner; and sister-in-law, Corinne Schill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Roger's name to the Carbone Cancer Center in Madison, WI.
