David Schill

David Schill, age 88, passed away on December 28, 2025, in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of service. A private family burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.
David was born on August 19, 1937, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. to the late Leo and Catherine (Rebro) Schill. He married Jane Bowe on October 7, 2000, at St. Bronislava Catholic Church.
David graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids in 1955. He continued his education by attending the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point and Northcentral Technical College, reflecting his lifelong commitment to learning and personal growth.
Throughout his working years, David was employed at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids and later at the Holiday Inn in Stevens Point. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and friendly demeanor, earning the respect of coworkers and those he served.
In his free time, David greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and playing softball. He was also an avid card player and found special enjoyment in playing bridge and, most of all, Sheepshead-his favorite pastime. These moments spent around the card table brought him joy and strengthened the bonds he shared with family and friends.
David is survived by his wife, Jane Schill; children, Dean (Sandy) Schill; Jennifer (Bob) Brooks; grandchildren, Savannah, Trevor, Brett, Becca, Ben, Finn, Elise, Grace; sister, Judy Wallner and sister-in-law, Rita Schill.
He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Corrine Schill and brother, Roger Schill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Judes Children Research Hospital.
