Sandra Kautzer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ritchay Funeral Home - Wisconsin Rapids on Feb. 10, 2026.
Sandra Lee Kautzer, age 78, of Nekoosa, Wis., passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at House of the Dove in Marshfield, Wis.

Sandra was born on October 24, 1947, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. to the late Ivan and Leona (Lindberg) Jackson. She married Alexander "Dick" Kautzer on November 13, 1965, in Nekoosa, Wis. and would have proudly celebrated 60 years of marriage in November of 2025.

Sandra will be remembered as the heart of her family, a woman whose love for her grandchildren was fierce, joyful, and ever-present. She created countless special memories with them, from treasured sleepovers filled with laughter to playful afternoons spent teaching them how to sew. Playing I Spy or pretending to run a doctor's office. Like a real-life "Nanny McPhee," Sandra delighted in dressing up as a witch for Halloween parties, making the holiday magical and unforgettable for everyone around her.

She was talented with her hands and took great pride in making beautiful hand-stitched towels. Sandra found happiness in life's simple pleasures - tending to her garden, walking her dogs, reading a good book, and working on puzzles. She especially loved time spent up north, where she could be found laughing as she jumped off the dock, embracing life with a playful spirit.

Above all, Sandra loved her family deeply and protectively. She was their biggest supporter, their comfort, and their safe place. Her devotion, kindness, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Sandra is survived by her children, Michelle (Scott) Linzmeier, Todd Kautzer, Chad (Tim) Kautzer-Brekke; grandchildren, Tessa, Owen, Breally, Cayden, Mara, Boone, Charlie; great-grandchildren, Abby, Hans, Beau, Ellie, Elijah and brothers, Bill Jackson, Larry (Donna) Jackson.

Sandra was preceded in death by her husband; parents; stepmother, Jane Jackson; sister, Beverly (Bill) Steinke and granddaughter, Abby Lee Linzmeier.

Five short months ago our dad passed away. Our mother's wishes were to have a small private celebration. With the passing of our mom, we would like to honor her and our dad with a Celebration of Life. This will be held from 12pm until 2pm on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at American Legion Hall, 10929 State Highway 13 Wisconsin Rapids, WI, 54494.

Yesterday

I remember both Dick and Sandy from high school days. They were younger by a couple of years. The years go by so quickly it seems, but some people are easier to remember than others. Our condolances to the entire family.
