Obituary published on Legacy.com by Life Tributes Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Feb. 6, 2026.
Peter V. Beaver, age 94, of Milladore, entered into eternal life surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital. A man of deep faith, steady devotion, and quiet humor, Peter lived a long and meaningful life rooted in family, hard work, and love of God.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 13, 2026 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Milladore, with Rev. Biju Chennala Kunjukutty as the celebrant and Rev. John Ofori-Domah concelebrating. Following the Mass, Peter will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Auburndale, where he will await the resurrection in the promise of Christ. Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation at the church from 9 AM until the time of service. The honor of serving as pallbearers is bestowed upon Dennis Ruess, Adam Scheunemann, Bill Pumper, Brian Rohland, Lake Gladowski, and Jonah Peplinski.
Peter was born at home in the Township of Beaver on September 20, 1931, the son of Peter and Katherine (Haffenbredl) Beaver. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School, where his faith and values were first nurtured, before entering the workforce. A lifelong worker with a strong sense of responsibility, Peter spent years tending a hobby farm, worked 23 years at the Nekoosa Paper Mill, 12 years at Rollohome, and proudly owned and operated his own dairy farm. His hands were rarely idle, and his work ethic was a reflection of his character.
On May 15, 1952, Peter married the love of his life, Annette Spatz, in a ceremony at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Auburndale. Together, they shared 73 years of marriage, building a home filled with love, faith, laughter, and enduring commitment.
A devoted member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Milladore, Peter lived his faith quietly but faithfully. He was also an active member of Catholic Financial, where he proudly worked to promote its mission. In his free time, Peter found joy in woodworking, gardening, cutting firewood, playing cards, and listening to polka music. Above all, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren, delighting in teaching them "a little foolishness" and sharing moments that will be treasured forever.
Those who will lovingly cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Annette Beaver; his children, Kathy (Richard) Pumper of Junction City, Margaret (Terry) Rohland of Hewitt, Jean (John) Pumper of Milladore, Lori (Dennis) Ruess of Vesper, and Geralyn (Thomas) Scheunemann of Wisconsin Rapids; 19 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother-in-law, LeRoy (Dorothy) Spatz of Sheboygan.
Peter is now joyfully reunited in eternal peace with his parents, Peter and Katherine Beaver; his daughter, Mary Ellen; his great-grandson, Gabriel Peplinski; and his sisters, Jane (Paul) Spatz and Rozella (Norbert) Specht.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials in Peter's name be directed to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Milladore.
