Joan Marie Kautzer, age 85, of Princeton, WI, passed from her daughter Lori's loving hands to God's hands on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Martha's Assisted Living in Princeton. She was born on December 26, 1938, in Waupaca, WI, the daughter of Paul and Eleanor (Bartol) Holmes.
On November 15, 1958, Joan married Earl Kautzer at St. James Catholic Church in Neshkoro, WI. For over 30 years, she was worked as a machinist at Realist/David White in Berlin, WI. Joan was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Princeton, where for many years she helped make communion hosts for the church.
Those Joan leaves behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lori (Bob) Frye; grandchildren, Tasha (Barry) Lay, Josh (Rebecca) Frye; great grandchildren, Sawyer, Elias and Hayden. We will miss you Granny K. and G.G. K; her son, Bryan (Connie) Kautzer; grandchild, Jeremy (Julie) Kautzer; great grandchildren, James and Isaac; her daughter, Nicole (Phillip) Sina; grandchildren, Renee, Alexia, Kolton and Brock; great grandchild, Hailynn; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Eleanor Holmes; husband, Earl Kautzer; brother, Gordy Holmes.
In honoring Joan's wishes, there will be a private family funeral service conducted by Msgr. James L. Gunn on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home in Princeton. Joan will be laid to rest following the service in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Princeton. Joan's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Martha's Assisted Living in Princeton for taking care of all her needs and for providing her wonderful care for the last nine months. They would also like to thank Generations Hospice for the comfort they provided Joan in her final days.
