Ray L. Miller Sr., age 74 of Nelson, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

Ray was born on February 5, 1952 in Wisconsin Rapids to the late Russell and Belva (Morey) Miller. Ray graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids in 1970. He went on to work in several sawmills throughout Wisconsin including Hamel Forest Products, Brunkow Hardwood, and Bee Forestry.

He married Linda Fekete on September 14, 1979 in Vesper, WI. Together they created Miller Custom Furnishings, making custom kitchen cabinets, bedroom & living room furniture and almost anything people could come up with. They also made several gun cabinets that were donated for charitable causes.

Ray enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and gardening. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and many fur babies.

Ray is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda; 1 daughter, Melissa (Jay) Mattheis, Wis. Rapids; 2 sons; Ray (Chrissy) Miller Jr., Mondovi, Lloyd (Nicole) Miller, Durand, 7 grandchildren; Mackenzie (Brett) Hasbrouck, Kyle Mattheis, Kayden, Landen and Jayden Miller, Kegan Wittig, Brady (Rylan Prissel) Miller; 1 great granddaughter Briar Hasbrouck. He is further survived by his siblings, Ross (Linda) Miller and Rusty (Lori) Miller, along with many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Randy, Richard and Roger and sister Rhonda Cole. And in-laws James & Eva Fekete.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
