Sherry Lee Keating, age 84, passed away peacefully from natural causes on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital. She was a kind and caring person who gave endlessly to her children and family.

Sherry was born on October 27, 1941, in Green Bay, WI, the daughter of Duane and Eileen (Hanna) Keating. She grew up in Wisconsin Rapids and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1960. She worked at Consolidated Papers throughout her career.

Sherry took immense pride in her children and their families, she cherished traveling with them across the country, from San Diego to New York City. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing cards, reading, mastering word searches and following her favorite sports teams on television. Sherry was a long-time member of First English Lutheran Church and more recently with St. Luke's Lutheran Church.

Sherry is survived by her three sons, Todd (Lisa) Peckham, Tom (Lora) Peckham and Christopher (Kelley) Gaffney; grandchildren, Kaylee (Lee) Rokke, Whitney (Kirk) Powell, Justin Peckham, Owen Gaffney and Rory Gaffney; her great grandchildren Hudson Powell, Carson Powell and Cooper Powell. She is also survived by her siblings, Dave Keating, Diane McGregor and Scott (Peggy) Keating; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Eileen Keating, her sister-in-law, Bonnie Keating and brother-in-law Robert McGregor.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Renaissance Assisted Living for all of the wonderful care they gave Sherry for nearly 10 years. Also, a special thanks to the staff at Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital for all of their love and care.
