Joyce Law Obituary
Joyce was born on October 22, 1943, in Springfield, Missouri, to the late Mark E. and Ester (Mathena) Mann. She graduated from Center Grove High School in 1961. Following graduation, she married the love of her life, Eddie Lewis Law, on June 11, 1961, in Franklin. Together, they built a home in Brown County, where they raised their three children and instilled in them a deep love of the land.
Joyce enjoyed tending her garden, baking, and canning, and she was locally known for her delicious turnovers and homemade angel food cakes. She also enjoyed mushroom hunting, reading her Bible and in her younger years, horseback riding. Joyce often said that her husband and children were everything to her.
She was a devoted member of the Way of the Holiness Church in Brown County, and her faith in the Lord sustained her throughout her life.
Joyce is survived by her children, Teresa (John) Clark of Vincennes, Troy (Nina) Law of Mountain Grove, Missouri and Clay (Jenny) Law of Morgantown; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eddie, on August 5, 2020; and her brother, Loren Eugene "Gene" Mann.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, March 24th from 11 to 1 p.m. at Meredith Funeral Home, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Rev. Randall Sizemore will conduct a funeral service following the visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Joyce to the Way of the Holiness Church, 145 E. Hurdle Road, Morgantown, IN 46160.
