Joyce Maxine Littau, 84, of Salem, Oregon, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025.

She was born on February 28, 1941, in Hollister, California, to Wayne E. Cheney and Dorothy A. White. On October 7, 1967, she married Herbert Littau in Salem, Oregon, and together they built a family rooted in love.

Joyce proudly served in the United States Navy for one year in the 1960s. She was also a devoted member of Al-Anon for over 30 years, where she found strength and fellowship. Joyce dedicated more than three decades to the Cascade School District, where she finished her career as a transportation administrator.

Beyond her professional and community life, Joyce cherished time with her family. She enjoyed coloring, diamond art, watching Netflix and game shows, playing games with her loved ones, and sharing her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. Her kindness touched everyone she met, and she will be remembered for her generous heart and warm spirit.

Joyce was preceded in death by her former husband, Herbert Littau; her son, Raymond L. Littau; and her parents, Dorothy and Wayne Cheney. She is survived by her children, David W. (Eva) Kelly, Donna M. (Richard) Voss, and Lauri A. (Tim) Beagle; and her grandchildren, Brian Kelly, Brandon Blank, Nicole Blank, Aiden Littau, Tyler Wayne Campbell, and Isaiah Kelly.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Weddle Funeral Service in Stayton. A private family burial will follow at Lone Oak II Cemetery on Boedigheimer Road in Stayton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marion & Polk Food Share in Joyce’s memory.
